Q.  How much does Rise cost?
A.  Nothing! There are no card fees, platform fees, late payment fees, or any other fees. We do not charge fees for card replacements.
Q.  How does Rise make money?
A.  Every time you spend money on your Rise card, the merchant pays a fee called interchange that is split between Mastercard (Rise’s card network) and the merchant’s underlying bank. We get a share of that.
Q.  Who qualifies for Rise?
A.  Rise serves corporations and other non-individual limited liability companies (LLCs) that are registered in Canada. Our customers are high-growth companies across a wide array of industries, ranging from healthcare to consumer products. If you’re part of a business that cares about reducing burn and understanding spend, we encourage you to apply for Rise here. Currently, we are not accepting individuals, sole proprietors, and other types of unregistered businesses.
Q.  Does Rise require a personal guarantee?
A.  No. rise does not hold founders personally liable for business expenses. We consider your business’ financial health factors, such as the company’s cash balance and cash flows, in setting your company’s business limit. We continuously innovate and tailor the underwriting model for the needs of your business, as no two companies are the same.
Q.  Will my personal credit be affected if I apply for Rise?
A.  No. We do not use individual’s credit reports. Applying for Rise will never affect your personal credit score.
